The Ford Focus WRC is a rally car based on the Ford Focus with World Rally Car homologation. It was designed and built by Ford in conjunction with the British company M-Sport and was used by the Ford World Rally Team in the World Rally Championship during the years 1999 and 2010 to replace the Ford Escort WRC, a car that had been the first World Rally Car model of the brand and with which he had competed between 1997 and 1998.

It made its debut in the 1999 Monte Carlo Rally, participated for twelve years as official in a total of one hundred and seventy-three tests achieving forty-four wins, one hundred and forty-eight podiums and two constructors' titles, in 2006 and 2007.

It was built on the chassis of the first and second generation of the series model and had ten different evolutions. Its last official appearance was at the Rally of Great Britain in 2010 and in 2011 the Ford team replaced it with the Ford Fiesta RS WRC.

The first evolution of the Focus WRC debuted at the 1999 Monte Carlo Rally with drivers Colin McRae and Simon Jean-Joseph. Although the team achieved the first podium, when McRae achieved third place, after the test the two Focus were disqualified because the stewards considered that the water pump was not legal.

That year the Norwegian Petter Solberg and the Swedish Thomas Radstrom also drove for the brand. He participated in fourteen races, all of them on the calendar and achieved two victories: in the Safari and Portugal, both with Colin McRae. He also achieved a podium in Sweden, but he had four consecutive retirements due to breakdowns, problems typical of the car's youth.
