American Truck Simulator Freightliner Argosy Truck Download MODs

The Freightliner Argosy is a model of cab truck manufactured by the American truck manufacturer Freightliner. Introduced in 1999 as a replacement for the FLB cab, the Argosy is a Class 8 truck, currently in its second generation.

After the 2006 model year, Freightliner withdrew the Argosy from its model line-up in the US and Canada, making it the last Class 8 cab truck sold in North America. It was discontinued in its export market in 2020.

The Freightliner Argosy was produced at Freightliner's Cleveland, North Carolina facility; from 2007 to 2020, production was exported almost exclusively to South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The glider truck series are still available in the US and in export markets.

Model overview

The Argosy made its debut in 1998 as a concept truck as a derivative of the traditional Century class. In an effort to develop a successor to the FLB cab, the concept was optimized for trailer lengths up to 58 feet, effectively reducing on-road vehicle traffic. Along with the use of body components (doors, windshield, grille and headlights), Argosy introduced Century-class telematics that facilitated electronic braking, communication, daytime running lights and traction control.
