The Ford Fiesta R5 is a competition car based on the Ford Fiesta, with R5 approval, built by M-Sport in the UK in collaboration with Ford for use in rallying. It was the first vehicle to be homologated in this category and is the sixth rally version of the Ford Fiesta.

It features a 1.6cc four-cylinder 16-valve engine, four-wheel drive, a five-speed sequential gearbox and a 32mm flange, built on the basis of the sixth generation Ford Fiesta (launched in 2008). Street ST, notably from the 2013 redesign.

Although it was originally calculated to be homologated on 1 January 2013 and ready to compete from April,2 it was not presented until June and did not receive homologation until 1 July that year, later making its debut at the Bohemia Rally with Czech Jan Sýkora as driver, which he accidentally left.

The base price of the R5 is €216,000, much cheaper than the WRC or RRC. Just a few months after its M approval, -Sport developed another evolution called the Ford Fiesta R5+, with a larger spoiler, a new turbo and other improvements.

In just one year of existence, M-Sport built the first fifty units of the Fiesta R5 and it became one of the most used models in various competitions, including WRC 2.
